My name is Dave Ribbens. I started Distribution Team Alpha and gave my company its name because I believe that quality distribution can make a huge difference in the success of an asset manager. Your investment results will drive some level of AUM flow; call it "beta". The right distribution team effort will create a more positive flow pattern, and I think of that difference as "alpha". And, frankly, getting distribution wrong can not just fail to achieve positive "distribution alpha", but can actually hurt the success of your business. My focus will be on developing the capabilities of your firm outside of the portfolio discipline, to generate sustainable, profitable growth.

Attracting the right clients for the right reasons in the first place is fundamental to me, as is doing everything possible to retain them. I hate to spend your money where I don't believe there is expectation of return, and I believe that many traditional distribution models are overdue for an overhaul.

I have two primary goals: To engage in worthwhile work and to build meaningful relationships. Let's build a sound and substantial business for you and your colleagues, and enjoy ourselves while doing so.
